Media Moves at The Information & Politico, CNN Underscored Welcomes E-Commerce Editor

Kevin Dugan has joined The Information as a reporter covering Wall Street, regulation and Silicon Valley. He comes from the New York Post, where he has written about C-suites, boards, asset management, financial technology and more, since 2014. Prior to that, Dugan covered corporate finance for Bloomberg News, and has also reported for Institutional Investor.

POLITICO has welcomed Meridith McGraw as a White House reporter. She most recently served in the same capacity at ABC News and before that worked at the digital arm of the network as a digital journalist and production associate. McGraw started her journalism career at ABC in 2015.  

Rachel Lubitz is the new commerce editor for CNN Underscored, the e-commerce arm of CNN. Her first day was Nov. 11. Lubitz was previously a senior beauty writer at Refinery29 and before that worked as a senior style writer at the now-defunct Mic site. Lubutz has also spent three years as an editorial aide at The Washington Post style section.

The Wall Street Journal has announced role expansions for the following staff:

  • Stefanie Ilgenfritz has taken on editorial supervision of FOE along with her current position as health and science bureau chief. She will be the lead editor of the monthly section and all digital content. Ilgenfritz has been at The Journal since 1990.
  • Khadeeja Safdar has taken on a new business data beat in the New York Corporate Bureau covering how companies across industries are using analytics and consumer data. She will also continue to contribute to retail coverage including as the beat reporter on Nike, Under Armour and L Brands. Safdar joined the Journal as an intern in 2013 and has been a corporate reporter since 2016.

Katie McDonough has left Jezebel after a little over a year as senior editor and six years all together at Gizmodo Media Group.  She was previously at Salon Media Group as a staff writer and assistant editor before that.

KTIS-FM, the contemporary Christian music radio station in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has brought on Tony Mansmith as an assistant program director.  He was most recently a mid-day on air talent at KQQL-FM in the Twin Cities and has worked for iHeartMedia for three years.

Mike Killabrew will return to his former position as senior vice president of programming for iHeartMedia Indianapolis and program director of classic rock WFBQ-FM and alternative WOLT-FM on January 1, 2020. He was most recently the PD at WWDV in Washington and previously worked in Indianapolis between March 2016 and April 2019.
