The Top PR Conference to Attend this Year

As important as it is to keep on top of the daily activities that support our PR strategies, it is also important to take some time to think about the larger public relations world in which we operate. Continued professional growth requires keeping up with the trends, techniques and tools gaining traction in the field. Attending an event that brings together thought leaders, executives and professionals in the space is an excellent way to do exactly that. If you can attend only one event this year, we recommend the PRSA (Public Relations Society of America) International Conference, which takes place Oct. 23–25, in Indianapolis.

About PRSA

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is the largest organization of public relations professionals. PRSA advocates for greater understanding and adoption of public relations services.  PRSA can help you extend your network of professional contacts with 111 local PRSA Chapters. In addition to the annual event, they offer webinars, job boards, social networks and other services to help you grow and connect. The cost to join varies based on your background and membership level.

About the Event

The PRSA International Conference is the world’s biggest gathering of public relations professionals, with more than 3,000 attendees expected. It is dedicated to the latest strategic approaches, tools and technologies. The event offers five tracks: Integration, Tools and Techniques, Specialization, Strategic Planning and Implementation, and Leadership and Management.

Speakers for this year’s event have not yet been announced, but last year’s keynote speakers included: U.S. Congressman and civil rights Leader John Lewis; Bea Perez, Chief Sustainability Officer for Coca-Cola; Sarah Kate Ellis, CEO and President of GLAAD; and Sheryl Connelly, Head of Global Consumer Trends and Futuring at Ford.

This event is an exceptional way to invest in yourself and your career. You’ll hear directly from your peers how they are successfully leveraging the most recent technical advances to gain insight into how PR impacts both brand awareness and revenue. You’ll have the opportunity to build lasting relationships with others in your field and to gain inspiration and a fresh perspective.

Now is the time to get registered. Early bird pricing, available through March 1, is just $1,195 for members and $1,495 for non-members. You won’t want to miss this valuable networking and learning event.
