Ashley Brown has joined ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” as a segment producer. She comes from NPR where she served as an editor/producer for the Morning Edition since 2017. Prior to that, Brown spent a decade at NBC Universal and WRC in Washington, D.C., as an investigative and content producer.
NBC News has hired Sahil Kapur as national politics reporter. He will cover the 2020 Election and Washington. Kapur was most recently a politics reporter for Bloomberg News, a position he held for five years. Prior to that, he covered Congress for TPM Media LLC for three years.
Allissa Kline will join American Banker on Feb. 3 as a reporter. She will be part of the team covering larger banks. Kline comes from Buffalo Business First, where she has reported on banking and finance, accounting, insurance and workplace issues since she joined the staff as a reporter in 2008.
Recode has welcomed Adam Clark Estes as deputy editor. He comes from Gizmodo Media Group where he served as senior editor since 2016. Prior to that, Estes worked for Gawker Media as news editor, and has also previously worked at VICE Media, The Atlantic, and HuffPost.
Rachel Simon is the new deputy editor at HelloGiggles. Most recently, she served as the wellbeing editor at the now-defunct Mic website and shaped the Wellbeing vertical, which covered health, sex, money, and more. Prior to that, Simon was the entertainment news editor at Bustle. Her work has also been published in Glamour, Cosmo, Gay Magazine, and HuffPost.
Bustle has tapped Princess Gabbara as associate lifestyle editor. She is also an established freelancer writer and has covered music, entertainment, history and culture, food, health and wellness, love and dating, beauty, and fashion for a variety of outlets including MTV News, Billboard, Shondaland, Bitch Media and others.
Rosin Saez has joined D Magazine as the online dining editor to cover food and drink in Dallas and beyond. She comes from Seattle Met where she spent the last two years as an associate editor and style editor before that. Saez has also worked at Ethnic Seattle and Seattle Refined.
PaperCity Dallas has hired Caitlin Clark as digital editorial director. She was previously the associate editor for D Home and has been with D Magazine since 2015. Priro to that, Clark was the digital media manager for The Dealey Group. PaperCity Dallas is written for the affluent residents of Dallas, and cover the city’s social scene, entertainment and the arts, design, and fashion.
