Business Insider has welcomed Dave Levinthal as senior Washington correspondent at the Washington, D.C., bureau, covering power, politics and policy. He comes from the Center for Public Integrity where was and editor-at-large. Prior to that, Levinthal worked for Politico and the Dallas Morning News.
Jim Wyss has joined Bloomberg News as Puerto Rico reporter covering news, politics, and government in Puerto Rico. He was most recently the South America correspondent for the Miami Herald, a position he has held since 2011. Before that, Wyss was an international business reporter for the Miami Herald for six years.
Bank Director has named Jack Milligan editor at large. He previously held the position of editor in chief of the magazine. Milligna is a veteran journalist with almost four decade of experience in business and financial journalism. He joined Bank Director in 2003 and the past decade has directed served as its top editor. Prior to that, Milligan was editor in chief of SNL Securities, editor in chief at U.S. Banker magazine, and general editor at Institutional Investor magazine.
KXL-FM news/talk radio in Portland, Oregon, has announced three promotions and the addition of a new staffer:
- Brett Reckamp and Veronica Carter have been named co-anchors of “Portland Morning News” from 5-9 a.m. Reckamp previously served as news and traffic reporter for the station. Carter most recently served as regional news director for iHeartMedia’s Pacific Region.
- Jim Ferretti has been promoted to news director, upped from assistant news director. He has been with the station since 2016.
- Jeremy Scott is now the AM/PM news and traffic reporter at KXL-FM.
WQOW-TV, the ABC/CW affiliate in in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, has welcomed Stephanie Rodriguez as morning anchor. She comes from Peoria, Illinois, where she worked for two years as a multimedia journalist covering daily news in Central Illinois. Before that, she worked as an intern for two summers at WTVO in Rockford, Illinois.
