Tiffany Reid has been named fashion director for the lifestyle collection of Bustle Digital Group, which includes Bustle, Elite Daily, NYLON, Romper, and The Zoe Report. In her new role, Reid will oversee all fashion efforts across editorial content. Most recently, she served as the style director of the Hearst Women's Fashion Group, where she contributed across brands such as Cosmopolitan, Elle, Marie Claire, Harper's Bazaar.com, and Women's Health Magazines for both print and digital. She joined Hearst Publications in 2015 as the senior fashion editor at Cosmopolitan and Seventeen Magazines.
Inc. magazine has appointed Scott Omelianuk editor in chief. His responsibilities include developing new lines of business to serve the entrepreneurial community and overseeing the events and content that make up the Inc. ecosystem. Omelianuk is a veteran top editor who helmed This Old House for 12 years before working as HumanConsult.io, a consulting collective that advises start-ups and businesses in transition, as chief strategy officer.
Medium has launched a new culture and lifestyle publication called LEVEL, aimed at black and brown men 30 and up. The publication covers a range of topics, from hip-hop to health, parenting to celebrity profiles. The following journalists have joined the outlet:
- Jermaine Hall is the editor in chief. He was most recently the VP and managing editor of digital at BET and before that spent more than five years at Vibe Media as editor in chief.
- Peter Rubin has joined as executive editor. He comes from WIRED where he wrote features on the intersection of culture and technology as a senior editor and later as a contributor.
Clara Ferreira Marques has joined Bloomberg Opinion as a reporter writing about commodities and ESG. She was most recently covering commodities, energy, and the business, finance and politics of southeast Asia for Reuters Breakingviews out of Hong Kong. Prior to that, Ferreira Marques worked for Reuters for almost two decades.
S&P Global Platts has hired Jacquelyn Melinek as a reporter covering petrochemicals. She was previously an intern at Bloomberg covering oil trading. She has also previously interned for The News & Observer and has written for the North Carolina Business News Wire.
Elizabeth Schulze has relocated from CNBC International in London to CNBC in the U.S as a multimedia reporter out of the Washington, D.C. bureau. She has been with the network since 2012 and has served in a variety of position including associate producer, desk producer and most recently, technology correspondent.
Fox News Chicago bureau has welcomed Jennifer Girdon as bureau chief. She has been with Fox News since 1998, when she joined as an intern and later executive assistant at Fox in New York. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2005 to be a researcher in the Los Angeles bureau and in 2007 became a field producer.
Ronnie Ramone has been promoted to program director at WROZ-FM radio in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He has been with the station for 14 years as an on-air personality and brand manager and will continue to host nights.
Chicago’s WBEZ-FM public radio has hired Mary Dixon as a morning anchor and local host of NPR’s “Morning Edition.” She debuts in February and replaces Lisa Labuz who moved to anchor middays. Dixon spent the past two decades as a morning co-host at WXRT-FM in Chicago alongside Lin Brehmer.
