Digiday has named Jim Cooper editor in chief. He replaces Brian Morrissey who left in September. Cooper has been on staff since June 2020 as managing editor and prior to that spent a decade at Adweek in various editorial positions including editorial director, executive editor, and editor at large.
Digiday Media has also named Cale Weissman the official editor in chief of Modern Retail. He has been with the company since 2019 and joined the staff as senior reporter, and quickly climbed the ranks to become the editor of the publication. Prior to that, Weissman was at Fast Company for three years.
Robert A. George has joined the editorial board of Bloomberg Opinion. He spent the past 16 years at the New York Daily News, most recently as member f the paper's editorial board. George has also served as the coalitions director at the Republican National Committee and was also senior writer at U.S. House of Representatives, and a senior writer for Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Law360 has hired Diamond Siu as general assignment reporter. She comes from Boston Globe Media where she was a metro reporting intern. Siu has also interned at NBC News on the digital politics team and Mashable as a tech reporting fellow.
Eileen Guo has joined MIT Technology Review as a senior reporter covering tech policy, ethics, and social justice. She spent the past six years as a freelance writer and he work has been published in the National Geographic, New York Times online, Playboy, Wired, Vox, South China Morning Post, Columbia Journalism Review, Teen Vogue, and on public radio, among others.
Alyssa Raymond has joined WPXI-TV, the NBC station in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, as an anchor/reporter. She anchors WPXI’s weekend morning show and serves as a fill-in anchor during the week. Raymond was most recently an anchor and reporter for WTHR-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, and has previously worked at stations in Winchester, Virginia; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Cleveland.
KCLR-FM (96 FM) radio in Columbia, Missouri, has named Todd Alan program director. He succeeds Jamie Mac who left the station in July. Alan comes form KUUL-FM in Davenport, Iowa, where he served as assistant program director and afternoon host.
Abby Jessen has been named director of branding and programming for KRAV-FM (Mix 96.5) in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She previously held the same role at WGAU and WXKT sister stations in Athens, Georgia. Jessen has been with Cox Media since 2015 when she joined as news and traffic anchor.
