Media Moves at the Wall Street Journal & Reviewed, News & Observer Hires a State Politics Reporter

Collin Eaton has joined the Wall Street Journal as an energy reporter in Houston. Before joining Eaton was an oil markets correspondent for Reuters. He was a reporter for the Houston Chronicle in the same capacity before joining Reuters. Additionally, he has held posts like bank and finance reporter for Houston Business Journal and finance and policy intern for The Chronicle of Higher Education.
 
News & Observer has hired Lucille Sherman as a state politics reporter. Most recently she was a national data enterprise reporter for GateHouse Media and before that an investigative intern. Sherman has held additional posts at the Columbia Missourian as a state government reporter and The Oklahoman as an enterprise and digital intern.
 
Ryan Waniata has joined Reviewed as managing editor of electronics. Waniata joins from Digital Trends where he spent seven years and most recently held the section editor role for audio, video and entertainment. Before Digital Trends he was an audio producer for Arc Hammer Productions and a Live Sound Engineer for Cadillac Ranch.
 
Quartz has promoted Heather Landy to executive editor. Additionally, she is the editor for Quartz at Work. Landy joined Quartz in 2014 as a global news editor after five years at American Banker where she was a reporter and eventually promoted to editor in chief. Before that, Landy held posts at The Washington Post and Fort Worth Star-Telegram as a special correspondent and reporter respectively.
 
Jas King has joined SB Nation as a sports reporter. Most recently, King was a host and reporter for Lakers Nation and before that a sports writer and podcast host for the Daily Hive. He has held posts at LA84 Foundation as a digital editor and writer and USC Annenberg Media as a multimedia journalist.
 
KEGL-FM, a commercial station in Dallas has hired Ben Rogers and Jeff Wade for the "Ben & Skin Show." The show debuted on Feb. 10, 2020 and broadcasts from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays. Rogers and Wade join from KRLD-FM in Dallas where they spent six years and before that KESN-FM where they spent four years hosting middays. Krystina Ray and Kevin Turner have joined as producer and newscaster respectively.
