Media Moves at Vogue & Adweek, New York Magazine’s The Strategist Hires Senior Editor

Vogue has announced a promotion and addition:

  • Rickie De Sole has been promoted to executive fashion director, a newly created position where she has been tasked with setting up a shopping vertical on the site. De Sole was previously head of fashion initiatives at Vogue since 2018.
  • Rachel Besser has joined as market editor. She comes from Refinery29 where she most recently served as the fashion market editor.

Casey Lewis has joined New York magazine’s The Strategist as senior editor. She was previously the head of editorial for Clover Letter, the digital newsletter and community for girls which she co-founded in 2016. She has also previously served as a senior digital editor at Teen Vogue.

Skift’s former Asia editor Raini Hamdi has transitioned to editor at large.  She was the Asia editor since 2018 and before that spent almost two decades at TTG Asia Media in a variety of position, including reporter, group editor and senior editor.

Michaelle Bond is the new residential real estate reporter for The Philadelphia Inquirer. She has been with the paper since 2013 and has covered government news and trends in the region’s counties and municipalities.  She has also previously interned at The New York Times.

Adweek has welcomed Scott Nover as platforms reporter. He is based in Washington, D.C., and covers social media platforms. He was previously a freelance reporter at The Atlantic for two years and has also served as an assistant producer for AtlanticLIVE.

Penny Crosman has been promoted to executive editor of technology for American Banker. She was most recently the editor at large at the outlet since 2011 and before that served as the executive editor of Techweb.

WMBB-TV, the ABC station in Panama City, Florida, has welcomed Erin Morgan Pemberton as morning anchor. She is on-air weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. She comes from WMC-TV in Memphis, Tennessee, where she worked as anchor/reporter since 2017.

Leslie Harris has been promoted to evening personality at WERV-FM radio in Aurora, Illinois. She broadcasts weeknights from 7 p.m. to midnight, replacing Samantha James. Harris first joined the station in 2007 and worked there until 2014.
