Chioma Nnadi is the new editor in chief of Vogue.com, previously serving as the site's fashion news director. Nnadi has been with Vogue for a decade, first joining the staff as a fashion writer in 2010. She replaces Stuart Emmrich, who will now be a contributing editor for the site.
At The Washington Post, Robin Givhan was promoted to senior critic-at-large. A longtime fashion critic and fashion industry writer, Givhan will write a weekly column on a broad range of subjects, including politics, race, business and the arts. She first joined the paper in 1995, and in 2010 moved to The Daily Beast/Newsweek to serve as fashion critic and correspondent, returning to The Washington Post in 2014. Givhan was the first fashion writer to earn the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism in 2006.
Yessenia Funes is the new climate editor for Atmos, a biannual climate and culture magazine. Funes comes to Atmos from Earther, serving as senior staff writer since 2017. Prior to this, Funes was a climate justice reporter for Colorlines, an assistant editor for YES! and has contributed environmental stories to a variety of outlets, including Salon, Rewire and Grist.
The Daily Gazette of Schenectady, New York welcomes Cailin Brown as managing editor next week. Brown comes to the Gazette from The College of Saint Rose, where she has taught journalism, chaired the journalism department and advised the student newspaper staff. She previously wrote for several New York newspapers, including the Troy Times Record and the Albany Times Union.
Ally Marotti returned to Crain's Chicago Business after a stint with the Chicago Tribune as a business reporter. At Crain's, Marotti will cover a wide range of local industry, including consumer products, food, restaurants, retail, media and advertising. Previously a general assignment reporter at Crain's from 2014 to 2015, Marotti moved to the Chicago Tribune in 2015 to work on the Blue Sky technology and innovation vertical, and later joined the business desk as a reporter.
Kathryn Hardison is a new reporter for the Austin Business Journal, covering economic development in the region, including local government and private corporations, reporting at the intersection of the public and private sectors. She most recently worked for the Springfield Business Journal.
Naomi Morales heads to Philadelphia FOX affiliate WPMT-TV to serve as news director. Morales comes to WPMT from NBC's Philadelphia station, WCAU-TV, where she's been the executive producer of the morning broadcast since 2015, first joining the station as a producer in 2008.
Jay Michaels is the new program director at KGSR-FM (Austin, Texas) from Waterloo Media. Michaels comes to KGSR from NRG Media, where he was program director for KQKQ-FM and KOOO-FM in Omaha. Before that, he was program director for KJKK-FM and KVIL-FM in Dallas.
